Family owned and operated, we are honored to be one of the oldest privately owned carpet mills in the United States.

SHAHEEN CARPET MILLS | SINCE 1964
The story of Shaheen Carpet Mills actually begins earlier than 1964 with a previous Shaheen family mill – Katherine Rug Mills, founded in 1946.
Katherine Rug Mills was later sold, and out of it came several new mills – World Carpets, Coronet Industries, and Shaheen Carpet Mills. A lot has changed since 1964, but at Shaheen Carpet Mills, we still believe in providing quality and value.
Born in Ramallah, Palestine in 1914, Said Shaheen and his older brothers attended the Quaker Missionary School there in Ramallah. Each in turn immigrated to America, seeking a better life for themselves and their future families.
Said Shaheen believed in hard work, and worked at the mill until his death in 2008 at the age of 93.
Today his sons, Jim and Frank, continue his work, running the family business – Shaheen Carpet Mills.
